Post Creation/ Management: Sending a post to human translation (only if your school has set up this resource)

The School Deets platform allows for human translation if your school already supports this feature within the building. Make sure you talk to your admin team before you use this feature. The human translation feature allows designated translators at the building level to translate posts for parents. 

Below are the following steps to send a post to human translation:

1. Go to the School Deets Platform. Scroll down the bottom and click on "Create."




2. Your screen should look like the one below. Choose the correct group that you want the post to go out to. Then create a Post Title, write your post under the Content section, and upload an image for the post if you want to. After filling in the information, click on "Request Human Translation." 






3. You will then be directed to a screen to select your translator. These translators will have already been set up by you and your team. These translators are people in the building that you know accurately translate information. Choose the translator to receive your post and then push "send now." 
4. Your English post will then be housed in the pending translations section. You now wait for the translator do translate. After they translate your message you will get a notification in the system by the bell at the top right of the screen indicating the message is ready to be sent out. The originator of the post will then send out the translated message when ready.
