Post Creation/ Management: The difference between a public and private post
Private versus public post:
When you create a post in DigitalDeets, you have the option to keep that post private within your community or to share it publicly. When you keep a post private, only members of the groups you've selected will see the post in the DigitalDeets Communication feed. When you share your post publicly, it is posted on your own organization website via the DigitalDeets widget.
Some good ideas for public posts could be:
- A shout out for a job well done or earning an award
- A fundraiser event
- Recognizing hard work such as test scores increasing or the winning a prize
- Acknowledging a community event
- Information that may interest prospective parents
- Anything that showcases the amazing things happening at your organization!
Some ideas for private posts:
- Organization specific information
- Organization expectations or directions for specific assignments
- Fire Drill, Lock Down drill information or follow up
- Staff or personnel changes
- Anything that you want to keep private within your own community
